Choreographer and principal dancer Lauren Lovette has launched an initiative dedicated to expanding and furthering dance not only as a performance art, but as one that serves as a medium for enrichment, education and enlightenment.

For Lauren, dance matters. Lauren Lovette Studio began its work with Why It Matters, a full-length program that illustrates her vision as to why and how dance, both classic and contemporary, can make a difference in our lives.

To this end, LL Studio will continue to produce under the banner of Why It Matters, working to create live shows that reflect diversity, energy and creativity, all hallmarks of Lauren’s dance artistry.

 Her vision includes a clear mandate to reach out to younger audiences, to educate their eyes and draw them into discovering how dance can make a difference. As an art form, dance desperately needs to cultivate and educate new audiences to both attend and ultimately support work going forward. Lauren is a trailblazer in this capacity.
